Play Ball!

Last night we went to an Atlanta Braves game. My sister, her husband, Kate and I met Kate’s mom, dad and granny at the ballpark. We had hot dogs and peanuts and had a great time. There was this really annoying guy in the seat behind us cheering for the Marlins. The Braves ended up winning the game with a hit in the bottom of the 11th inning. It was very exciting. We were all jumping up and down giving anyone we could find high fives. I don’t really like baseball that much, but it was really fun to see the game in person. It was Kate’s first game, too and we all had a great time. The Braves have fireworks every Friday night so we stayed to watch those. Kate gave the fireworks show an 8 out of 10. I would have given it a 9, but she’s a fireworks connoisseur. We both still say that the best ones we’ve ever seen were in Oak Grove, MO on the way back from last year’s trip.

Today we said goodbye to my sister and her family and headed toward Memphis, TN. We made really good time and got to the KOA campground a little earlier that I had anticipated. We took a dip in the pool and just relaxed for a while. We brought a couple of DVD’s of the show Glee with us and watched a couple episodes. It’s kind of a weird show but strangely entertaining as well. We were in 5 different states today so that was pretty cool. Goodnight from Marion, AR (just west of Memphis).

Tomorrow we’re headed toward Canute, OK. Don’t know if I’ll post tomorrow since we’re just driving. You never know, though. We may see something really cool!
